Objective To investigate the effect of PDCA mode quality control circle（QCC） activity on the inci-dence of abscess and the satisfaction of family nursing. Methods Fifty one full-term newborns received in a hospital in Henan Province from June 2016 to December 2017 were selected as the control group

and 51 full-term newborns received from January 2018 to June 2019 were selected as the observation group. The neonates in the control group were given routine nursing

and the observation group carried out PDCA mode QCC activities on the basis of the control group to compare the incidence of abscess in the two groups

the satisfaction of family nursing

and the QCC of PDCA mode in the observation group activity before and after the circle members comprehensive ability score. Results The incidence of neonatal abscess in the observation group was 0.00%

lower than 11.76% in the control group

the difference was statistically significant（P<0.05）; the score of professional knowledge

team spirit

service consciousness and problem-solving ability of the members in the observation group higher than that before activity implementation

the differences are statistically significant（P<0.05）; The nursing satisfaction of the family members of the observation group was 96.08%

higher than that of the control group of 76.47%

the difference was statistically significant（P<0.05）. Conclusion PDCA pattern QCC activity can help reduce the incidence of neonatal pustular sores

improve the nursing staff’s comprehensive nursing abili-ty and family members’ nursing satisfaction.
