Influence of salbutamol combined with budesonide inhalation on lung function and airway responsiveness in children with bronchial asthma
Objective To study the influence of salbutamol combined with budesonide inhalation on lung function and airway responsiveness in children with bronchial asthma. Methods One hundred and twenty-two children with bronchial asthma admitted in a hospital in Henan province from October 2018 to June 2019 were selected and divided into the control group and the experiment group according to the random number table method
61 cases in each group. The control group was given routine treatments and inhaled with salbutamol sulfate
the experiment group inhaled with budesonide on the basis of the control group
both groups were treated continuously for 2 months. The clinical symptom relief time
lung function and airway responsiveness before and after treatment were compared between the 2 groups
the incidence of adverse reactions in the 2 groups was recorded. Results Compared with the control group
the relief time of chest tightness
cough
gasp and disappearance time of wheezing shortened significantly after treatment in the experiment group(P
<
0.05).Compared with before treatment
the inspiratory-expiratory time ratio(Ti/Te)
peak-to-peak time ratio(tPTEF/tE)
peak-to-peak volume ratio(VPTEF/VE)
forced expiratory volume in 1 second(FEV
1
)
forced vital capacity(FVC)
maximum peak expiratory flow rate(PEF)
1 second rate(FEV
1
/FVC)increased significantly after treatment in the 2 groups
and the experiment group was significantly higher than the control group(P
<
0.05);the respiratory resistance(Rrs)decreased significantly in the 2 groups
and the experiment group was significantly lower than the control group(P
<
0.05).Compared with before treatment
the minimum concentration at the beginning of resistance rise(Cmin)
conductivity decline slope(SGrs)
conductivity decline slope/basic respiratory conductivity(SGrs/Grs)and response threshold(Dmin)increased significantly after treatment in the 2 groups
and the experiment group was significantly higher than the control group(P
<
0.05).There were no serious adverse reactions in the 2 groups. Conclusion The salbutamol sulfate combined with budesonide inhalation can more effectively control the clinical symptoms such as chest tightness and cough in children with bronchial asthma
improve lung function and airway hyperresponsiveness
