Objective To evaluate the effect of different caries removal and bleaching methods on the microleakage of filling material and teeth in vitro by comparing the depth of the microleakage.Methods A total of 60 healthy teeth removed for orthodontic reasons were included.After artificial caries production

these teeth were randomly divided into traditional caries removal group（n=30）and Carisolv chemo-mechnical caries removal group（n=30）.After caries removal and filling with glass ionomer cements

the 30 teeth in each group were divided into two subgroups

i.e.cold light whitening clinic pack subgroup and family pack subgroup.After bleaching

the dye penetration method was used for the detection of microleakage.The depth of dye penetration was measured and compared between these groups.Results The depth of dye penetration in the Carisolv caries removal group was significantly smaller than that in the traditional caries removal group（P<0.05）.In both caries removal groups

the depth of dye penetration in the family pack subgroup was significantly smaller than that in the clinic pack subgroup（P<0.05）.Conclusion The method of Carisolv caries removal has better stability compared with the traditional method

and the cold light whitening family pack has a smaller effect on the microleakage of filling material than the clinic pack.
