The Clinical Effect of Vacuum Sealing Drainage on Orthopedic Limb Trauma
Objective To compare the clinical results of vacuum sealing drainage surgery and conventional surgery on the treatment of orthopedic limb trauma.Method 80 cases of patients received in Qianjiang Central Hospital were randomly divided into two groups
40 cases in each. The control group were taken conventional surgery while the experimental group were taken vacuum sealing drainage surgery.Their admission data were collected and the effects were compared. Results There were no statistical differences in wound areas of patients in both groups before their treatment. After their treatment
wound areas of patients in the experimental group were(26.45±10.35)cm2
smaller than the control group [(44.35±16.32)cm2]and their difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the infection rate of the experimental group was 2.5%
much lower than that of the control group(30.0%)
the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01);there were no statistical differences in the incidence of complications in the two groups;the average hospital stays of the experimental group were(21.24±2.34)d
shorter than the control group[(44.56±1.67)d]and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05);the average cost of hospitalization in the experimental group was(10 673.34±204.35)yuan
less than that of the control group[(17 984.33±186.43)yuan]and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Vacuum sealing drainage surgery has a positive effect in the treatment of orthopedic limb trauma. This surgery can accelerate the growth of granulation tissues in the wound areas and promote wound healing
