Objective To investigate the relativity between allergic conjunctivitis and dry eye.Method 40cases（75eyes）of patients with allergic conjunctivitis received in a hospital of Mudanjiang city from March 2013 to February 2014 were the observation group and tested their lacrimal secretion

lacrimal film break-up time（BUT）and corneal fluorescein staining（FL）.40cases（80eyes）of patients with no ocular disease and systemic disease were randomly selected from the outpatient department as the control group.The test findings of all the patients were compared in the two groups.Results 40 cases in the observation group all had symptoms of eye itching and 15 cases had a foreign body sensation

accounting for 37.5%;23cases had a significant dry sensation

accounting for 57.5%;18cases had eye fatigue

accounting for 45.0%;9cases had a burning sensation

accounting for 22.5%.For the patients in the observation group

lacrimal secretion tests in different periods and BUT results obviously decreased

FL scores markedly increased compared to the control group and the differences were statistically significant（P<0.05）.Conclusion Allergic conjunctivitis is very likely to cause eye fatigue and eye dryness

so patients with allergic conjunctivitis must have related tests of lacrimal film function and accept symptomatic treatment.
