Objective To investigate the librarians’mental health of Dazhou Library so as to provide reference for the guidance work of librarians’mental health.Method 203librarians were assessed their mental health by SCL-90Scale.Results Scores for SCL-90factors of the librarians were higher than the norms of the normal Chinese.Except the two factors of interpersonal relationship and paranoia

the differences of scores for other factors were statistically significant（P<0.05）.There were 168people with mental abnormality and the main factor was horror followed by anxiety

hostility

interpersonal relationship and depression.Female librarians got higher scores for SCL-90factors than male librarians.The differences in scores for obsessive-compulsive symptom

depression

anxiety and psychoticism were statistically significant（P<0.05）.There was no significant difference between middle-age and young librarians in the scores for SCL-90factors but there was a significant difference in their scores for interpersonal relationship（P<0.05）.Conclusion The librarians in Dazhou Library have some psychological problems and we need to establish mental health service system immediately.
