Objective To discuss the clinical significance of the testing MAU on the patients of T2 DM.Method To select 60confirmed T2 DM patients at random

and set 60healthy persons in a group for comparative study.Both groups were tested for fasting blood sugar and MAU.Results The fasting blood sugar figure and the MAU figure of the comparison group were（4.82±1.59）mmol/L and（18.60±4.48）mg/d

while the same figures of the T2 DM group were markedly higher than the comparison group

registering at（15.65± 4.97）mmol/L and（64.77±11.59）mg/d.The differences of the two groups were statistically significant（P<0.01）.Conclusion MAU occurs rather frequently among T2 DM patients

and a test of MAU can be made a content of regular examination for T2 DM patients.
