Objective To observe the efficacy of gamma globulin treating Guillain-Barre syndrome.Method 30 cases of patients with Guillain-Barre syndrome received from February 2010to February 2013were randomly divided into experimental group and control group with 15cases in each group.Both groups were given traditional conventional treatment and the experimental group were given intravenous injection with gamma globulin.Then clinical symptoms and the improvement of muscle strength before and after the treatment in both groups were analyzed and compared.Results The improvement of muscle strength after the treatment in the experimental group were better than the control group and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant（P<0.05）;the total effective rate of the experimental group was 93.33% and that of the control group was 66.66%

and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant（P<0.05）. Conclusion Gamma globulin has a significant effect on treating Guillain-Barre syndrome

it can shorten the duration of the acute phase and the whole course of the disease and improve the clinical symptoms effectively.
