Objective To probe into the clinical experience and application value of two-port laparoscopic appendectomy.Method Clinical data of 66cases of patients undergoing the two-port laparoscopic appendectomy from January

2008to December

2011was retrospectively summarized.Results 66cases of patients were successfully operated

without any cases being converted to laparotomy.Average operation time was（35±5.6） min and average hospitalization time was（4.1±0.8）d.After a follow-up of（18±6.5）m after the operation

there were no such complications as incision infection

fat liquefaction

port-site hernia and recurrent pain in right lower quadrant of abdomen and the like.Conclusion Two-port laparoscopic appendectomy is safe

effective

easy to operate and inexpensive with beautiful incision

little trauma and fast recovery

which is suitable for young surgeon at the initial stage of laparoscopic operation and shall be promoted in primary hospitals.
