Objective To observe the clinical effect of qidantongmai tablet in the treatment of hyperviscosaemia in elderly patients.Method 63 diagnosed cases of elderly patients with hyperviscosaemia were randomly divided into two groups.32 cases in experimental group were treated using qidantongmai tablets and 31 cases in control group were treated using compound salvia tablets.Results After treatment

hemorheological indexes in the experimental group had significantly declined compared with those before treatment

and the differences were statistically significant（p<0.05）.No changes took place in the control group before and after the treatment.Total effective rate in experimental group and control group were 87.50% and 32.26%

and differences between the two groups were statistically significant（p<0.05）.Conclusion Qidantongmai tablet

which can improve symptoms in patients with hyperviscosaemia and decrease hemorheological indexes

is an effective drug to treat hyperviscosaemia.
