Objective To examine the correlation between locus of control and self-worth for heroin addicts. Method 282 heroin addicts were investigated by the Internal-external Locus of Control Scale and Self-worth Scale. Results The coefficients between locus of control and general、special self-worth in individual tendency were -0.222 and -0.234（P<0.05） for heroin addicts; only general self-worth in individual tendency entered into regression equation by the means of multiple stepwise regression（β=-0.234

P=0.023）. Conclusion There was significant negative correlation between locus of control and general、special self-worth in individual tendency in heroin addicts; the special self-worth in individual tendency could predict negatively locus of control in heroin addicts.
