Objective To analyze the clinical feature of CAP in 95 patients.Method A study Of age distribution

clinical manifestations and treatment time was given to the patients of CAP in southwest university hospital.Results CAP patients in our hospital are mainly distributed in the young group（aged 17～29

accounting for 37.9%） and old（aged 60～90

accounting for 49.5%）.Only 49.5%;of patients in older group had fever while 70.8%

of patients had in the young and middle-aged group.There are not significant differences between the two groups for cough and other symptoms（p>0.05） except for fever（p<0.01）.The time of treatment with antibiotics is（8.4±3.8） days

（10.7 ± 6.1）days and（17.6±8.8）days

respectively in the young

middle-aged and old group.There is a significant difference between the old group and the young group（p<0.05）.Conclusion Compared with the young and middle-aged patients

the clinical symptoms of the old patients were not typical and the course of disease was longer.The old patients should be given intensive checking when they have unexplained symptoms.They should be identified quickly and given prompt treatment because it is possibly for them to have pneumonia.
