Objective To examine the therapeutic effect of RNAi-mediated survivin gene silencing on the xenograft tumor of ovarian cancer
in vivo
. Methods Subcutaneous tumors in athymic mice were induced by inoculation of SKOV
3
. pshRNA-survivin and lipofectamine
lipofectamine
pTZU6+1 and lipofectamine
pshRNA survivin
and physical saline were injected into the subcutaneous tumors. The growth of the xenograft tumor was observed after inoculation. The expression of survivin in the xenograft tumor was observed by RT-PCR and immunohistochemistry. The cell apoptosis in tumor tissues was detected by TUNEL. Results pshRNA-survivin significantly inhibited survivin expression
accelerated the apoptosis of tumor cells and inhibited the degree and sp

cells progressing into xenograft tumor in nude mice
in vivo
. Conclusion pshRNA-survivin significantly inhibited the proliferation of xenograft tumor of ovarian carcinoma.
