Objective      To investigate the clinical value of ultra-slim gastroscope in guiding orotracheal intubation in emergency gastroscopy.       Methods      Eighty-four emergency patients who accepted endoscopic treatment with orotracheal intubation in our hospital from June 2012 to October 2014 were enrolled in this study. They were randomly divided into ultra-slim gastroscope-guided group (n=45) and macintosh direct laryngoscope group (n=39). The intubation time

adverse reactions and throats pain in 8 h after operation were studied and compared between the 2 groups.       Results      The success rate of first-time intubation were superior in the ultra-slim gastroscope-guided group than the direct laryngoscope group.
