In this paper

we raised a question

“what is the potential target in the future war”

and this question brought us to think thoroughly about the developing tendency of future warfare. We took the nearest war——Operation Odyssey Dawn for example

to discuss the following interrelated issues: the development of modern warfare

the fundamental essence of future wars

the notion and characteristic of military information support operations

and the relationship between cyberspace and military information support operations

and the formation

development and current situation of military information support operations. In conclusion

we pointed that in order to seize the strategic superiority in future warfare

we must reveal the principles of military information support operations and research on protective strategies against the “Information Trauma”

which could guide our military training with the future warfare concept.
