Objective To observe and evaluate the safety and efficiency of high selective resection of dorsal penis nerve branches in treatment of primary premature ejaculation (PPE). Methods High selective resection of dorsal penis nerve branches was performed in 38 PPE patients admitted to our department from May 2007 to May 2008. Sensitive points of the dorsal penis nerves were detected before operation followed by high selective resection of dorsal penis nerve branches. Four weeks after operation
the patients could have sexual life. The patients were followed up for 6-24 months
during which ejaculation latency and sexual life satisfaction degree were recorded and evaluated. Meanwhile
adverse reactions at the incision were observed. Results The sensibility of penis in all patients was decreased after operation. The ejaculation latency was significantly prolonged in 12
improved in 23 but not improved in 4 patients
with a total effective rate of 89.47%. No infection and hemorrhage at the incision as well as penis erection dysfunction was observed during the follow-up. Conclusion High selective resection of dorsal penis nerve branches can effectively reduce the sensibility of penis
prolong ejaculation latency and improve the sexual life satisfaction
and thus is a safe and effective procedure for PPE.
