Objective To understand the status and the law of hepatitis B (HB) developed in base population of a military command. Methods The epidemic and epidemiological data of HB in the base population were collected respectively
and retrospectively analyzed. Results The proportion of HB infection in a military command was 25%-30% of the total cases infected hepatitis in 1991-1993 annually
fluctuated around 50% in 1994-1997
was above 60% in 1998-2000
still around 50% in 2001-2005. By comparing the relative ratio
the number of HB infection in troops increased by 3%-30% in 1991-1997
then decreased since 1998
and showed a rebound in 2005. Those infected HB
with mean age of 28.10 years
were composed of 95.67% male (1790/1871) and 4.33% female (male∶female=22.10∶1). The soldiers infected HB most
accounting more than 60% of the total infected cases. The individual cases occurred all around the year
with no clear seasonal variation. All units had individual cases
among which B
A
F units with a high proportion accounted for 23.36%
22.98%
16.41% of the total infected cases. The cases that were not reported were more than 60% (143/238)
indicating the actual incidence of HB should be more than that of epidemiologic report. Conclusion HB infection is high in the military command we investigated
presents descending trend and sporadic feature. Aiming at each link of hepatitis B infection
