Effectiveness of intelligent multimodal knowledge graph in the course of Nutrition and Food Hygiene
To evaluate the effectiveness of intelligent multimodal knowledge graph in the course of
Nutrition and Food Hygiene
analyze the practical difficulties
needs
and optimization suggestions for students in learning.
Methods
2
In the quantitative questionnaire survey
35 senior undergraduate students majoring in preventive medicine were selected as the research subjects. Focusing on the three core stages of pre-class preparation
in-class learning
and post-class review
the current status and effectiveness evaluation of knowledge graph usage were objectively presented through quantitative data. The qualitative research adopted the focus group discussion and semi-structured in-depth interview to deeply analyze the user experience
existing problems
and needs.
Results
2
The multimodal knowledge graph had certain application value in building knowledge frameworks
improving preview efficiency
and assisting in the organization of knowledge points. Moreover
94.29%(
n
=33) of the students used this tool before class
and 77.14%(
n
=27) of the students believed it was helpful in identifying key and difficult points. However
there were issues that needed to be improved
such as an unfriendly interface (
n
=17
48.57%)
inconvenient operation (
n
=15
42.86%)
lack of targeted content (
n
=17
48.57%)
and inadequate compatibility between online and offline platforms. The willingness of students to use the tool needs to be enhanced. The overall satisfaction rate was 71.43%(
n
=25)
and 51.43%(
n
=18) explicitly expressed willingness to continue using it in subsequent courses.
Conclusions
2
Intelligent multimodal knowledge graph facilitate knowledge framework construction and preview efficiency for students. To maximize effectiveness
they should be further integrated with offline teaching
