Connotations, practices, and challenges of artificial intelligence-empowered medical professionalism education
In the context of digital transformation and the fourth-generation medical education reform
artificial intelligence (AI) is being deeply integrated into the medical education process
posing new theoretical propositions and practical challenges to medical professionalism education. In this theoretical review
an analytical framework is structured in four dimensions: connotation analysis
practice pathways
dilemmas and challenges
and future directions. Grounded in the value basis of medical professionalism education
it systematically examines the connotation of medical professionalism education in the era of AI. From the three perspectives of practice scenario reconstruction
clinical reasoning cultivation
and evaluation mechanism innovation
it analyzes the practical pathways through which AI empowers medical professionalism education. Furthermore
focusing on the three major challenges of humanistic rationality
technological authority
and health equity
it proposes future pathways for medical professionalism education. This article aims to provide a reference for the theoretical advancement and practical reform of medical professionalism education in the age of AI.
