Application effectiveness of 3C guided feedback combined with traceable learning method in teaching the course Traditional Chinese Medicine Orthopedics for international students
To explore the impact of 3C guided feedback combined with traceable learning method on the effectiveness of teaching the course Traditional Chinese Medicine Orthopedics for international students.
Methods
2
A total of 54 international students majoring in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2024 to June 2025 were selected as the research subjects. They were randomly divided into a combination group and a control group
with 27 students in each group. The control group received traditional classroom teaching
while the combination group received instruction using the traceable learning method implemented within the 3C guided feedback framework. The teaching content covered three major traceability modules: anatomical names
disease names
and treatment operations. After the teaching
the theoretical knowledge scores
clinical operation ability scores
Active Learning State scores
and Acculturative Stress Scale for International Students scores were compared between the two groups. SPSS 27.0 was used for non-parametric Mann-Whitney
U
test and independent samples
t-
test.
Results
2
After teaching
the total theoretical knowledg
e assessment score for the combination group was 43 (41
46)
which was significantly higher than the 38 (35
41) for the control group (
Z
=-3.85
P
<
0.001). The total clinical operation ability assessment score for the combination group was 42 (40
45)
significantly higher than the 36 (33
39) for the control group (
Z
=-3.92
P
<
0.001). In terms of learning initiative
the total Active Learning State score for the combination group after teaching was 81 (77
85)
higher than the 72 (68
78) for the control group. Furthermore
the combination group scored higher than the control group in the four dimensions of learning goals
in-depth learning
solid learning
and learning motivation
while there was no significant difference in the control learning dimension between the groups. In terms of acculturative stress
the total Acculturative Stress Scale for International Students score for the combination group was (49.11±4.52) points
which was lower than the (56.89±5.13) points for the control group (
t
=5.91
P
<
0.001). Further analysis of each dimension showed that the combination group had lower scores than the control group in the four dimensions of cultural shock
perceived discrimination
perceived resentment
and fear. However
there were no significant differences between the two groups in the three dimensions of homesickness
self-blame and guilt
and other stress.
Conclusions
2
The traceable learning method based on 3C guided feedback can effectively improve the theoretical knowledge and clinical operation skills of international students after teaching the course Traditional Chinese Medicine Orthopedics
enhance their learning initiative
and alleviate their acculturative stress during the professional learning process. This approach is worthy of promotion in teaching.
