Construction of three-dimensional models of cardiac fibrous skeleton and valves and application of the 3D printed models
摘要
目的
2
探讨利用中国可视化人体(Chinese visible human
CVH)数据集建立3D打印心脏纤维骨架及瓣膜(cardiac fibrous skeleton and valves
To construct a three-dimensional (3D) model of cardiac fibrous skeleton and valves (CFSV) using the Chinese Visible Human (CVH) dataset and explore the utility of the 3D printed model in clinical practice and in medical anatomy teaching.
Methods
2
The CVH5 high-resolution tomographic images were imported into Amira software for segmentation and reconstruction of the CFSV. The reconstructed 3D model was smoothed and simplified
and was then imported into the 3D printer for printing. Anatomical measurements were conducted following post-processing of the 3D printed model by polishing and coloring.
Results
2
The 3D model of CFSV was successfully reconstructed and printed. Anatomical measurements using the digital 3D model and the 3D printed model showed that the minor axis of the tricuspid valve ring (TVR) was 26.56 mm
vs
26.48 mm
and that of the mitral valve ring (MVR) was 27.67 mm
vs
26.08 mm; the long axis of the TVR was 42.64 mm
vs
41.02 mm and that of the MVR was 37.93 mm
vs
mm 38.74 mm. The mean difference between the measurements on the 2 models was 0.62±1.19 mm. The measured area and the circumference of the pulmonary valve were slightly larger than those of the aortic valve. The perimeter and area of the TVR were larger than the MVR
and the angle between the planes of the TVR and the MVR was about 20.40.
Conclusion
2
The 3D printed model of the CFSV well displays the anatomical structures
with the advantages in measurement of complex and irregular structures
