Changes in peripheral blood T lymphocytes in sepsis patients with different blood glucose levels and their value in predicting prognosis
To investigate the changes in peripheral blood T lymphocytes in sepsis patients with different blood glucose levels and their value in predicting prognosis.
Methods
2
A retrospective analysis was performed for 170 sepsis patients who were admitted to our hospital from August 2021 to February 2024. According to the level of fasting plasma glucose(FPG),they were divided into group A(55 patients with an FPG level of ≤6.1 mmol/L),group B (48 patients with an FPG level of 6.2-8.3 mmol/L),and group C(67 patients with an FPG level of ≥8.4 mmol/L); according to the 28-day prognosis, they were divided into survival group with 112 patients and death group with 58 patients. Clinical data were compared between groups. After adjustment for confounding factors, the multiple linear regression model was used for correlation analysis. A multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to investigate the correlation between peripheral blood T lymphocyte subsets and the risk of 28-day mortality. The Kaplan-Meier method was used for survival analysis.
Results

Compared with group A,groups B and C had significantly lower levels of CD3
+
(
t

P

0.001;
t

P

+
(
t

0.001) and a significantly higher level of CD8
+
(
t
=2.367,
P
=0.020;
t

P

(

(

P

+
(
t

P

+
(

(
β

+
(
β

+
,CD4
+
,and CD8
+
were independent influencing factors for the risk of 28-day mortality(all

the risk of 28-day mortality remained stable under different FPG levels, and there were interactions between subgroups(

≥44.6% group(

≤42.6% group(

Conclusion
2
With the continuous increase in the level of FPG,the levels of CD3
+
and CD4
+
gradually decrease in sepsis patients, while the level of CD8
+
gradually increases. The levels of CD3
+
,CD4
+
,and CD8
+
have a good clinical reference value for predicting the prognosis of sepsis patients.
