Application of ultrasound-guided methylene blue dye localization in high-risk non-palpable breast nodules
To explore the application of ultrasound-guided methylene blue dye localization in the biopsy of high-risk non-palpable breast nodules.
Methods
2
The data of 42 patients with high-risk non-palpable breast nodules (BI-RADS category 4b or above) admitted to our hospital from June 2023 to June 2024 was retrospectively analyzed. The location of high-risk non-palpable breast nodules was determined by methylene blue site-specific staining guided by the intravitreal ultrasound method, and biopsy surgery was performed. The intraoperative and postoperative pathological results were statistically analyzed. The side effects related to staining agents and postoperative complications of the patients after the operation were recorded. The residue of dye on the patient's skin surface was observed. The postoperative incision healing condition, the residual of local lesions and recurrence of the patients were evaluated.
Results
2
Among the 42 patients, there were a total of 45 high-risk non-palpable nodular lesions, and biopsy was successfully completed for all of them. All patients received clear pathological diagnosis after the operation. Patients with malignant lesions underwent further surgical treatment in our department. Pathology confirmed that the lesion capsules removed during the operation were all intact, and there was no tumor residue in the enlarged specimens.Postoperative follow-up revealed that patients with benign lesions had no residual or recurrent local lesions, the incisions healed well, and there was no significant change in the appearance of the breast compared with that before the operation.
Conclusion
2
The application of ultrasound-guided methylene blue dye localization technique in the biopsy of high-risk non-palpable breast nodules has the characteristics of accurate localization, strong visualization, high biopsy success rate, and low cost, which has important clinical application value.
