Clinical efficacy of titanium clip therapy for colonic sessile-pedunculated polyps under transparent cap-assisted colonoscopy
To investigate the clinical efficacy of titanium clip therapy for colonic sessile-pedunculated polyps under transparent cap-assisted colonoscopy.
Methods
2
A total of 100 patients with colonic sessile-pedunculated polyps admitted to our hospital from January 2023 to March 2024 were divided into the conventional group and the combined group using a random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The conventional group was treated with routine endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), while the combined group underwent EMR with titanium clips under transparent cap-assisted colonoscopy. The clinical efficacy, surgery-related indicators, inflammatory factor levels, complications and recurrence were compared between the two groups.
Results
2
The total effective rate of treatment in the combined group was significantly higher than that in the conventional group (
P
<
0.05). Compared with the conventional group, the operation time and wound healing time were shortened (
P
<
0.05), and the intraoperative blood loss was reduced in the combined group (
P
<
0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in hospitalization costs between the two groups (
P
>
0.05). After surgery, the levels of interleukin-6 (IL-6) and C-reactive protein (CRP) decreased, the level of interleukin-10 (IL-10) increased in both groups, while the combined group showed more obvious changes, with statistically significant differences (
P
<
0.05). The incidence of complications and recurrence rate in the combined group were significantly lower than those in the conventional group (
P
<
0.05).
Conclusion
2
Titanium clip application under transparent cap-assisted colonoscopy can effectively optimize surgery-related indicators, reduce the inflammation level, decrease the incidence of complications and disease recurrence, and achieve a superior clinical therapeutic effect in patients with colonic sessile-pedunculated polyps.
