Objective To explore the effect of hybrid teaching model based on Rain Class in general practitioner training. Methods The study introduced Rain Class in the course of atrial fibrillation and attempted to design a mixed-mode teaching model. Totally 132 generalpractitionerswere divided into two groups
66 in experimental group
66 in the control group. Hybrid teaching method and traditional teaching method was implemented in the experimentalgroup and the control group, respectively. The outcomes were evaluated using the students' performance in exam. In addition, the students' appraisal on hybrid teaching model was investigated with a self-designed questionnaire. Results The final exam score of experimental groupis significantly higher than control group(82.95±12.86 vs 60.45±18.91
P<0.001). Further stratification analysis was conducted according to educational background
and the average score of low education group in the observation group was significantly higher than that of high education group (88.06 + 9.12 vs 49.66 + 13.88
P<0.001). 55.3% of the general practitioners in experimental group were very satisfied with the rain classroom teaching
34.8% of them were satisfied with. Only 9.9% of the general practitioners were dissatisfied. Conclusion Hybrid teaching model can help to increase the exchange and interaction between students and teachers and improving learning efficiency and clinical ability.
