Objective To investigate the effectiveness of problem-based learning with arthroscopic simulated training in clinical intern teaching Methods A total of forty clinical intern were selected and divided into two groups which were named as experimental group and control group. The intern in control group received traditional clinical training
and except for which
the experimental group was gave the clinical teaching of problem-based learning for specific case combined with arthroscopic simulated training. All the outcome statistical data was analysed with using SAS software (version 9.2). Results The comprehensive professional ability score of experimental group was 43.00±6.15
which was significantly higher than control group that got a score of 35.90±4.94 (t=4.030
P<.0001). Every single-item professional ability score
except the item of evaluation to intern from the patients
of experimental group was superior than control group (all P<.05). In the aspect of teaching quality
the questionnaire survey indicated that the number of intern who agreed with every single-item
except the Coordination and cooperation ability
was significantly more in experimental group than that in control group (all P<.05). Conclusion The application of problem-based learning for specific case combined with arthroscopic simulated training can raise the learning interest and ability and improve clinical practicing proficiency for intern
