The article analyzed the problems and reasons in the post competency training of eight-year medical students in clinical medicine in Peking University Third Hospital，Such as lack of the humanities spirit and communication skills

and academic research ability and innovation spirit. The article stated the post competency of eight-year medical students according to the practical requirements for clinical personnel . We elaborated the required post competence for eight-year medical students on the basis of its basic concept and intention. We proposed to strengthen the cultivation of eight-year medical students by improved course plan and cultivation process
