Objective To evaluate the effect of 3D printed models applied to Medical Imaging Diagnosis Undergraduate Teaching. Methods 3D printing technology was applied to the experimental group in the medical imaging diagnostic teaching
and conventional teaching including PPT and usual models in the control group. Medical students
who had completed their courses
were given a test about cardiovascular system and tasked with completion of drawing hand and foot bones. Students were also asked to complete a questionnaire about their experience. Result Students in 3D printing group performed better than those in control group and satisfied with the new teaching methods. Conclusions 3D printed models combined with PPT significantly improved students’ understanding the construction of heart
hand and foot bones. All results demonstrated that 3D printing models could improve Radiology teaching significantly.
