This paper analyzed the current problems and difficulties of the education for postgradu-atesof infectious diseases

such as the outdated courses and nonstandard cultivating model

which demon-strated the necessity for teaching reform and innovation.Specifically

several innovation approaches were posed

including optimizing the coursesoffered

updating the training mode

and emphasizing the improve-ment of supervisors

with the purposes of promoting the postgraduates' clinical and research skills and culti-vating their innovation and social adaptation abilities.
