THE MARK AWARDING AND STATISTICAL ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS GRADES IN BOARD EXAMINATION 1983 OF OUR COLLEGE BY THE APPLICATION OF MICROCOMPUTOR
We attempted to make mark awarding and statistical analysis of student grades attended the Board Examinaton 1983 by the application of the microcomputor—TRS-80
Model Ⅲ(48K)with self-made program numbered 47.533 K(bytes)in analysing the results among 2 departments
12 classes
407 students
16 subjects and total 200 questions. There are 12 tables in accordance with 12 categories investigated together with the entery-error correction measures. The items are listed as follows: the grades of students in different departments
classes and the average
standard deviation and the T values; the correct answering rates among departmentsⅠandⅡ
and the differential index(r); the correct answering rates and U test values in departmentsⅠandⅡ
and the order-list of different subjects arranged according to U values; the frequency distribution chart of students grades and the normal test(D); the coefficicnt of reliability(R)and the order-list of classes arranged according to the T value; average correct answering rates and U value among different types of questions; analysis of questions
differenciating into satisfactory
dfficult
easy and not satisfactory 4 categories; order-list arranged according to the % of fine questions made by different systems; order-list of students arranged according to grades awarded. The trial scheme of the application of microcomputor including the self-made programs proved to be effective and accurate
otherwise the work could not be completed within such a limited time. However
since the entery error existed somewhat greater than 1%
that we suggest to install a photo-electric scanning apparatus in order to prevent the input error thus to ensure its accuracy.
