MECONIUM STAINING IN AMNIOTIC FLUID AND FETAL DISTRESS OBSTETRIC AND GYNECOLOGY DEPARTAMENT
wo hundred and fifty cases of cephalic deliveries with meconium staining were analysed.Among thesecases
26neonates(10.4%)got Apgar score less than 7
which is signiflcantly higher than those(1.78%)whose arnniotic fluid was clear
The ratio of neonatal asphyxia in those with Ⅲ degree meconium staining was20.59%
mecomum staining accompanied with was 13.16%
high risk factors During labor
the meconitimstaining in 37 cases became deeper
9 newborn infants got asphyxia
The ratio(24. 32%)was higher than thosewhose amniotic staining did not change in labor (7. 98%). These findings suggested that meconium staining inamniotic fluid was caused by multiple reasons
It is nessesary to terminate pregnancy as soon as possible whenmeconuim staining accornpanied by high risk factors
or become deeper during labOr or Ⅲ degree staining atthe rupture of membranes.
