THE VOLUE OF THE NUCLEAR PATHOLOGICAL FEATURES IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF PAPILLARY THYROID CARCINOMA
group of nuclear pathological features of papillary thyrold carcinoma(PTC)were examed in 1 40 casesby LM and EM. Among these
87.1%were found positive for the clear nuclei
97.1%for the grooved nuclei.80.0%for the intranuclear inclusions
81.4%for the nuclear overlap
and 24.2%for the nuclear mitosis. Sta-tistically
very significant differences were found between PTCand individual controlling groups in all feattiresmentioned above(p<0.01).The results suggest that the nuclear pathological features excetp the nuclear mi-toses have practlcal value in the diagnosis of PTC. How the nticlear pathological feagures are formed was dis-cussed based on the rerults of the electromicroscopic examination.
