Proliferating cell nuclear antigen and estrogen receptor expressions in well - and poorly - differentated hepatocellular carcinomas
Proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) monoclonal antibody PC 10 and eatrogen receptor polyclonal antibody (ER) were appiled to 70 cases of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)
including well - differentiated (WD) 49 cases and poorly -differentiated (PD) 21 cases
with immunocytochemical method to observe the proliferativeactivity in different types of HCC
and the relationship between the proliferation of HCC and ER.The resultsindicated that 53 cases were positive of PCNA. WD 37 cases and PD 16 caaes. Positive ratea of both (75.5%
76.2% ) had no oarked difference. 24 cases were positive of BR
including WD 13 cases and PD 11 cases
The positive rate of PD (52.4% ) was higher than WD’s (26.5%) (P<0.05) There was a positive correlation between PCNA and ER. (P<0.05) The results suggested that it is not suitable to ujdge the differentation and prognosis of HCC only by PCNA
and estrogen system probably promote the proliferation of HCC.
