Study on clinical pharmacodynamics of buspirone in generalized anxiety disorders
plasma concentration and clinical response in generalized anxiety disordes(GA) treated with buspirone. Methods: 71 GA met with the criteria of CCMD-2-R were randomly assigned to two groups
36 GA with buspirone treatment
35 GA with alprazolam treatment. Both groups were treated for 6 weeks. The relationship among oral dosage
plasma concentration and HAMA
HAMD
SAS
as well as TESS scores were analyzed in the buspirone group. Results: The therapeutic effect of buspirone was comparable to alprazolam
and its side effects were less than that of alprazolam; the effective oral dosage of buspirone is 20~30mg/d; the therapeutic efficiency of buspirone appeared in 2 week after treatment
and it was better in antipsychic anxiety than in antiphysical anxiety;there were no obvious relationship between buspirone oral dosages and its clinical efficacy
or plasma concentration and clicinal efficacy
but also plasma concentration and side effects; buspirone’s side effects were less than that of alprazolam. Co.nclusion: The therapeutic effect of buspirone is sure in patients with GA
and its side effects are less than that of alprazolam; buspirone should be recommended in clinical practice.
