Objective: To explore the clinical effect of ePTFE in filling the soft tissue of the face. Methods: Different specifications and shapes of ePTFE were selected to fill depending on different depressed deformities of the face. Results: From June 1998 to March 2001

the facial soft tissues of 46 cases with 56 sites were performed with ePTFE. Except 2 cases with 2 sites failed to get good effect

44 cases with 54 sites showed satisfactory effects followed-up of 12 to 30 months. Conclusion: ePTFE is a kind of medical biological material with good histocompatibility and stable chemical quality as well as a replacer in filling the facial soft tissue.
