The clinical study of relationship between serum P/E2 ratio on the day of embryo transfer and embryo implantation
Objective: To study the effect of serum P/E2 ratio on the day of embryo transfer in controlled ovarian hyperstimulation(COH) on implantation. Methods: 96 cases of IVF were divided into five groups according to serum P/E2 ratio on embryo transfer(ET) day
and their laboratory results and clinical outcomes were compared. Results: There were no differences on average age
endometrium thickness on ET day
fertilization rates
embryo cleavage rates
and numbers of embryos transferred among five groups(P>0.05).There was the most and the least oocytes in group 1(P/E2<50) and group 5(P/E2>200)
respectively. No patient in group 5 became pregnant finally
while those in group 3(P/E2100~150) got higher pregnancy rates and single embryo implantation rates than other four groups(P<0.05).Conclusion: The optimal P/E2 ratio on the day of ET can improve endometrial receptivity. It is important to monitor serum P/E2 on the day ET to predict pregnancy in COH.
