Effects of nonylphenol on the activity of AchE and ChAT in brian of filial rat
Objective:To investigate the effects on the activity of acetylcholinesterase (AchE) and choline acetylase(ChAT) in filial rat’s brian and learning and memory capacity after the mother-rat is exposed to nonylphenol. Methods:At the first day of the pregnancy
the rats were divided into four groups
which were orally administered with NP at doses of 0
50
100 and 200 mg/kg
respectively
on gestational days 9~15. The offspring rats’s Brain tissues of each groups were dissected for AchE and ChAT activity assay and cognitive function was tested by Morris water maze. Result:Morris water maze test results showed the escape latency was longer in the groups of NP 200 mg/kg than in control group(P<0.05).The AchE activity decreased while the activity of ChAT increased in the NP 200 mg/kg group
the differences mentioned above were statistical significant compared to control group
with dose-effect relationship in some degree
(P<0.05).Conclusion:Exposures to NP during gestation might influenced the activityof AchE and ChAT in brian of F1 rats .
