Correction side consecutive pedicle screw placement combined with n-HA/PA66 graft in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis(AIS) treatment
Objective:To discuss the posterior correction side consecutive placement of pedicle screws and the clinical curative effect of n-HA/PA66 artificial bone grain of bone graft in the treatment of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis(AIS).Methods:21 AIS cases
6 males and 15 females
from July 2007 to July 2010 were reviewed. The average age was 15.2
from 12 to 20.Main curve Cobb angle was 40°~63° and 51.4° on average. They included 10 cases of Lenke Ⅰ
5 cases of Lenke Ⅱ
4 cases of Lenke Ⅲ
1 case of Lenke Ⅳ and 1 case of Lenke Ⅴ.All the 21 patients were treated by posterior correction side consecutive placement of pedicle fixation
and n-HA/PA66 artificial bone grain combining autograft bone grain fusion. Results:After the operations
the Cobb angle was 5°~31° and was 13° on average. The average correction rate was 79%.All the 21 patients’ bone grafts appeared to have successful spinal fusion. The spinal fusion rate was 93.4% in the last survey. The correction rate was not obviously lost in the last survey. All the patients had no obvious complications
and could do some exercises after treatment. Conclusion:For AIS patients
consecutive pedicle screw placement can achieve satisfactory correction rate
and n-HA/PA66 combined with autograft bone can be used for AIS patients’ graft fusion.
