Study of the value of vibration response imaging in diagnosis of pulmonary atelectasis
Objective:To explore the value of vibration response imaging system(VRI) in the diagnosis of pulmonary atelectasis. Methods:It was analyzed retrospectively that 502 patients were detected with VRI and thoracic CT from Oct 1
2008 to May 1
2010
so as to study whether it was feasible to use VRI in the diagnosis of pulmonary atelectasis. Results:There was significant difference in distribution of mean quantitative lung data(QLD) between healthy volunteers and patients with pulmonary atelectasis except lobus centralis dexter of lung field(P<0.05).There was significant difference in variation between healthy volunteers and patients with pulmonary atelectasis(2.893±0.838 vs 6.816±1.878).Kappa analysis was used to analyze consistency in the diagnosis of pulmonary atelectasis. It had commendable consistency between VRI and CT when the data of VRI variation fluctuated in 80% confidence interval of the difference(x±1.28s).Conclusion:It has commendable consistency between VRI and CT in the diagnosis of pulmonary atelectasis.CT gives us objective imageology information of pulmonary pathological changes
and VRI provides us with more reference of function assessment in patients with pulmonary atelectasis.VRI has special advantage in diagnosis and prognosis assessment of pulmonary atelectasis.
