Objective To explore the application value of testicular shear wave imaging stiffness value in early prediction of male infertility associated with varicocele. Method in our hospital in 2016-2020 years of varicocele patients male in the unilateral selection on the left side of the spermatic vein varicose Sarteschi 74 patients with classification of greater than or equal to 3
which based on sperm quality is divided into normal group A (37 cases) and weak sperm disease group B (37 cases)
and matching of 74 cases of healthy people as control group
measuring the testicular volume and through the calculation of shear wave imaging testicular stiffness
and compared with the contralateral normal testis and healthy controls testicular comparison. Results There was no significant difference between the testicular volume (15.85±2.68m L) and the testicular volume (16.21±3.24m L) of the varicocele in group A (P=0.813).The mean stiffness of testis on the side of varicocele was 4.77±1.16kPa
which was higher than that on the opposite side (3.39±0.97kPa)(P<0.001).The volume of testis on the varicose side of spermatic vein in group B (15.19± 2.10ml) was significantly lower than that on the contralateral side (17.44± 4.38ml)(P=0.013).The mean stiffness of testis on the side of varicocele was 7.23±1.88kPa
which was higher than that on the opposite side (4.74± 0.79kpa)(P<0.001).Testicular stiffness (7.23±1.88kPa) in group B was higher than that in group A (4.77± 1.16kpa)(P=0.002).The mean volume and stiffness of left testis of patients with varicocele in group A and Group B were significantly different from those of healthy controls (P<0.001). Conclusion Testicular shear wave imaging stiffness is an effective early detection method for evaluating male infertility associated with varicocele earlier.
