Clinicopathological and Ultrasonographic features of invasive breast carcinoma with neuroendocrine features
Objecitve To ivestigate the clinicopathological and ultrasonographic features of invasive breast carcinoma with neuroendocrine features (BCNF). Methods 17 lesions of BCNF confirmed by pathological examination were selected to analyze the clinic
Pathologiacal and ultrasonographic features. Results 17 BCNFs were categorized into 15 carcinoma with neuroendocrine differentiation(CWND) and 2 Neuroendocrine Carcinoma,Poorly-differentiated/Small Cell Carcimoma. Most of BCNFs showed isoechoic of parallel orientation(82.4%)
angular protrusion or glitch (76.4%)
branch or coarse twisted blood vessel(64.7%)
and blood Adler II~III grade(64.7%). According to pathology results
the ultrasonic coincidence rate of BCNF was 88.2%. Conclusion CWND are the principal type of BCNF
and the sonographic findings are certain characteristics
mostly showed solid lesions of angular protrusion or glitch with rich blood flow
we should pay more attention to the bord of lesions.
