Study on the effect of ultrasonic therapy on low compliance neurogenic bladder infection after spinal cord injury
Objective: To observe the ultrasonic therapy of patients with low compliance neurogenic bladder infection after spinal cord injury treated with ultrasound of different wavelengths. Methods: 40 patients with neurogenic bladder caused by spinal cord injury in the Department of rehabilitation medicine
Southeast Hospital Affiliated to Xiamen University from January 2020 to June 2022 were collected and divided into routine group
20kHz ultrasonic stimulation
30kHz ultrasonic stimulation and 40kH zultrasonic stimulation groups
with 10 patients in each group. The routine group was treated with perfusion therapy and the anticholinergic drug tolterodine tartrate tablets for cleaning and volume expansion. The patients in the ultrasound group with different wavelengths were treated with ultrasound on the basis of routine treatment for 2 consecutive months and 6 days per week. Before and after treatment
the maximum bladder volume
residual urine volume
the number of leukocytes and bacteria in urine
and the bacterial culture in the middle urine were detected. Results: there were no significant differences in the maximum bladder volume
residual urine volume
urinary leukocyte count
bacterial count and bacterial culture in the middle of urine before treatment in each group. Compared with the routine group
the maximum bladder volume of patients in 20kHz ultrasonic stimulation
30kHz ultrasonic stimulation and 40kHz ultrasonic stimulation groups was significantly increased
the residual urine volume
the number of urine leukocytes
the number of bacteria
the number of Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae were significantly decreased
and other bacteria were completely disappeared. The therapeutic effect of 30kHz ultrasonic stimulation is the most suitable. Conclusions: 30kHz ultrasonic stimulation treatment could improve the urodynamics of low compliance neurogenic bladder after spinal cord injury and inhibit the occurrence of infection.
