OBJECTIVE：To observe the efficacy and safety of Jianwei yuyang tablet combined with rabeprazole in the treatment of liver and stomach disharmony type of peptic ulcer. METHODS： 116 patients with liver and stomach disharmony type of peptic ulcer were randomly divided into observation group and control group. All patients were given liquid or semi-liquid diet， vitamin and other conventional treatment， and spicy food was prohibited； based on it， control group was treated with 20 mg Rabeprazole sodium enteric-coated tablet with warm water to swallow whole in the morning， once a day， chewed or crushed taking were prohibited. Observation group was additionally treated with 1.2 g Jianwei yuyang tablet with warm water， 4 times a day. One course included 6 weeks， and it lasted 2 courses. Clinical efficacy， helicobacter pylori （Hp） eradication， the inflammatory cytokines levels [tumor necrosis factor （TNF）-α， interleukin （IL）-6， C-reactive protein （CRP）] before and after treatment and incidence of adverse reactions in 2 groups were observed. RESULTS： The total effective rate in observation group was significantly higher than control group， the difference was statistically significant（P＜0.05）. Before treatment， there were no significant differences in the Hp eradication and the inflammatory cytokines levels between 2 groups（P＞0.05）； after treatment， Hp positive cases and positive rates and the inflammatory cytokines levels in 2 groups were significantly lower than before， and observation group was lower than control group， Hp negative cases and negative rates were significantly higher than before， and observation group was higher than control group， the differences were statistically significant（P＜0.05）. And there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between 2 groups（P＞0.05）. CONCLUSIONS： Based on conventional treatment， the efficacy of Jianwei yuyang tablet combined with rabeprazole is superior to rabeprazole alone in the treatment of liver and stomach disharmony type of peptic ulcer， with similar safety.
