Effect of labetalol combined with magnesium sulfate on D-dimer, fibrinogen, and blood pressure control in elderly patients with gestational hypertension
Objective To investigate the effects of labetalol combined with magnesium sulfate on D-dimer
fibrinogen levels
and blood pressure control in elderly patients with gestational hypertension
so as to provide a reference for clinical treatment. Methods Seventy-two elderly patients with gestational hypertension admitted to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Xiping People’s Hospital from May 2019 to May 2021 were selected as the study subjects. The patients were assigned to the observation group and control group by random number table
with 36 cases in each group. Patients in the control group were treated with magnesium sulfate
and patients in the observation group were treated with labetalol combined with magnesium sulfate. Systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure were compared between the two groups before treatment(admission) and after treatment(discharge). D-dimer and fibrinogen levels were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Pregnancy outcomes and adverse maternal and fetal outcomes were compared between the two groups. Results Before treatment
there was no significant difference in systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment
systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure in the two groups were lower than those before treatment
with the observation group lower than the control group
and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). Before treatment
there was no significant difference in D-dimer and fibrinogen levels between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment
D-dimer and fibrinogen water in the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment
and the observation group was significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05). The cesarean section rate and the incidence of adverse maternal and fetal outcomes in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Labetalol in combination with magnesium sulfate is effective in the treatment of senile gestational hypertension. It can effectively reduce the levels of D-dimer
fibrinogen
and blood pressure
and improve the outcome of delivery. These benefits hold promise for a wider application of this technique in clinical practice.
