Efficacy of modifie d double-endobutton technique in the treatment of acromioclavicular joint dislocation and its effect on joint function
Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of modified double-endobutton in the treatment of acromioclavicular joint dislocation and its effect on joint function. Methods Sixty patients with acromioclavicular joint dislocation admitted to Quanzhou Guangqian Hospital from October 2019 to October 2021 were randomly assigned to the control group and experimental group
with 30 cases in each group. Patients in the control group were treated with clavicular hook plates and patients in the experimental group with the modified double-Endobutton technique. The surgery-related indexes
joint function recovery
joint reduction
and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The difference in the operation time between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05). The incision length
hospital stay
and medical cost in the experimental group significantly decreased compared with those in the control group(P<0.05). The incidence rate of complications in the experimental group was 6.67%
which was significantly lower than that in the control group(30.00%
χ~2=5.455
P=0.020). The success rate of postoperative reduction in the experimental group was 96.66%
which was significantly higher than that in the control group(73.33%
χ~2=4.706
P=0.030). The postoperative Constant score of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group
with the VAS score lower than that of the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion The modified double-Endobutton technique is effective in the treatment of acromioclavicular joint dislocation
which helps to relieve postoperative pain
reduce the risk of complications and promote the recovery of joint function.
