Effect of evidence-based nursing health education in patients with viral hepatitis
Objective To explore the effect of evidence-based nursing health education on medication compliance and psychological status in patients with viral hepatitis to provide reference for clinical treatment. Methods Eighty patients with viral hepatitis admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanyang Medical College from April 2020 to December 2021 were selected as the study subjects. The patients were allocated to the control group and observation group by random number table
with 40 cases in each group. Patients in the control group received routine nursing intervention and patients in the observation group evidence-based nursing health education intervention in addition to the nursing in the control group. At discharge
the medication compliance of patients in the two groups was investigated using a self-made patient medication compliance questionnaire in our hospital; the psychological status of patients in the two groups was assessed using the Symptom Checklist 90(SCL-90) before and at 3 months of the intervention. At discharge
a self-made nursing satisfaction survey questionnaire was used to investigate the nursing satisfaction of patients in the 2 groups. Results The complete compliance rate in the observation group was significantly higher than this in the control group(P<0.05). Before the intervention
there was no significant difference in SCL-90 scores between the 2 groups(P >0.05). At 3 months of intervention
the SCL-90 scores of patients in the two groups were significantly lower than those before the intervention
with the observation group lower than the control group(P<0.05). The satisfaction rate of nursing in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P <0.05). Conclusion Evidence-based nursing health education can improve the compliance of patients with viral hepatitis
promote their psychological status and raise their nursing satisfaction. These benefits justify a wider application of this technique clinically.
