Research progress on the effect of prostate cancer treatment on cardiovascular disease
The incidence of prostate cancer(PCa) in China is markedly increasing. PCa mostly occurs in the elderly
but elderly patients with PCa mostly have combined basic diseases. Cardiovascular disease(CVD) is the main cause of death in PCa patients. Meanwhile
anti-cancer treatment can also cause CVDs in PCa patients. This paper summarizes and analyzes the clinical treatment strategies for patients with hormone-sensitive prostate cancer(HSPC) and castration-resistant prostate cancer(CRPC) combined with CVD
and discusses the causes of CVD triggered by cancer treatment and proposes relevant preventive measures
attempting to provide some reference for clinical research and treatment.
