Application of information-motivation-behavior nursing in the post-intervention of patients with unstable angina
Objective To explore the effect of information-motivation-behavior(IMB) nursing in the post-intervention of patients with unstable angina(UA). Methods A total of 83 patients with UA admitted to a hospital in Liaoyang from June 2018 to June 2020 were selected as subjects
who were assigned to a control group(n=40) and an observation group(n=43) using the random number table method. Patients in the control group received routine nursing intervention and patients in the observation group IMB intervention
and both groups received continuous intervention for 3 months. The nursing effect and nursing satisfaction of the patients in the two groups were compared
the number of angina attacks
duration and nitroglycerin dosage of the patients in the two groups were compared
and the self-nursing efficacy of the patients in the two groups before and after the intervention was compared. Results The nursing efficiency of patients in the observation group was 97.67%
which was higher than that of the control group(77.50%)
the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The clinical nursing satisfaction rate of patients in the observation group was 93.02%
which was higher than that of the control group(72.50%)
and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The number of angina attacks in the observation group was lower than that in the control group
the duration of angina in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group
and the dosage of nitroglycerin in the observation group was less than that in the control group
and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). The health responsibility
psychological well-being
nutrition and exercise scores of patients in the 2 groups after nursing were higher than those before nursing
and the observation group was higher than the control group
with significant difference(P<0.05). Conclusion The IMB nursing model is effective in the post-intervention patients with UA
which can effectively relieve patients’ clinical symptoms
reduce the use of nitroglycerin
and improve nursing satisfaction and patients’ self-nursing efficacy. These benefits justify a wider application of this procedure clinically.
