Effects of in situ simulation combined with standardized patient method in standardized training of general practice residents
Objective To explore the effects of in situ simulation(ISS) combined with standardized patient(SP) method in the standardized training of general medicine residents and the effect on trainee satisfaction
theoretical and skill assessment scores. Methods Ninety-six general medicine residents who received standardized general medicine residency training in a hospital in Hunan from June 2019 to June 2021 were selected as the study subjects
and they were divided into a study group and a control group using the computerized random grouping method
with 48 trainees in each group. The trainees in the control group were trained with SP
and the trainees in the study group were trained with ISS on this basis. The theoretical and skill assessment scores and satisfaction with the training of the trainees in the 2 groups were compared after training in different ways. Results The theoretical and skill assessment scores of the trainees in the study group were higher than those in the control group
and the differences were statistically significant(P <0.05). The total satisfaction of the trainees in the study group was higher than that in the control group
and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion ISS combined with SP can enhance the mastery of theoretical knowledge and improve the practical skills of the trainees
which is of great significance to their later clinical practice
and the satisfaction of the trainees with this training program is also higher. It has high value in the standardized training of general practice residents and deserves wider application.
