Application of flat responsibility care model in the surgical treatment of pediatric supracondylar humerus fracture
Objective To explore the value of applying the flat responsibility care model in the surgical treatment of pediatric supracondylar humerus fractures. Methods One hundred and thirty-eight cases of children with supracondylar humerus fractures admitted to a hospital in Zhengzhou from December 2018 to January 2021 were selected and divided into a control group and an experimental group using the random number table method
with 69 cases in each group. All children received surgical treatment
and the children in the control group were treated with conventional care
while the children in the experimental group were treated with flat responsibility care on the basis of the control group. The number of days of hospitalization
fracture healing time
postoperative visual analog scoring(VAS) score
treatment compliance and elbow function before and after the intervention were compared between the two groups. Results The compliance with medication
exercise and reasonable diet scores were higher in the experimental group than in the control group(P<0.05); the hospitalization days and fracture healing time were shorter in the experimental group than in the control group(P<0.05); the elbow function scores were higher in the experimental group than in the control group after the intervention(P<0.05); the incidence of elbow dysfunction in the experimental group was 2.90%(2/69) compared with 5.80%(4/69) in the control group
showing no statistically significant difference(P>0.05); 2 weeks after surgery
the VAS scores were lower in the experimental group than in the control group(P <0.05). Conclusion When applied to the surgical treatment of pediatric supracondylar humerus fractures
the flat responsibility care model can help improve the children’s treatment compliance
